After a whole lot of rumors and leaks, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab A8 in the European market last month. And now it has entered the Nepali market as well. Here, we will walk through the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 in Nepal.

Display and Design

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 sports a 10.5-inch LCD and 16:10 aspect ratio. The last one makes more vertical space for contents. The screen also has a very noticeable bezel around all the edges. The body is metallic built and has a circular module holding an 8MP camera. There are four color variations in the tablet – Gray, Silver, Gold, and Pink. Unfortunately, all the color options won’t be available in all the places.

Samsung is yet to reveal the actual chipset used in Tab A8, but it is rumored to have Unisoc T618. There is an integrated octa-core chipset that clocks at the maximum speed of 2.0GHz. This means both CPU and GPU performance are 10% better than the last year’s Tab A7.

As per memory, there are two RAM configurations of 3GB and 4GB. For internal storage, there are three options – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. The last one is a surprise by Samsung to the audience. You can also expand it with a dedicated microSD card slot.

OnePlus has unveiled a successor to the Buds Z in the Nepali market as well. Here, we will dig into the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the OnePlus Buds Z2 in Nepal.

Design

The new OnePlus Buds Z2 flaunts a steamy design while embedding the weight of 4.5 grams for the Night Black color configuration and 4.6 grams for the Day White. Likewise, they have 40.5 gram and 42 gram of charging cases respectively. The case gets its fuel via a USB Type-C port.

Micromax IN 2b officially entered the Nepali market

Micromax has launched a new phone in the Indian market. It had been lying on the back saddle since 2014 and last year, it entered the front with Micromax IN 1b and now it has released its successor – Micromax IN 2b. The phone has now hit the Nepali market as well. In this post, we will talk about the specs, features, availability, and the official price of Micromax IN 2b in Nepal.

Display and Design

The new Micromax IN 2b flaunts a 6.52-inch IPS LCD panel with 720×1600-pixel resolution. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and the screen-to-body ratio of 89%. There is a 400nits of typical brightness and 269 PPI density. Above the screen, there is a teardrop notch that holds the front-facing camera. Smart Telecom getting its license revoked soon: NTA planning to pass the frequency to CG Telecom

Nepal Telecommunications Authority or NTA is planning to revoke the license of Smart Telecom. Since Smart Telecom has failed to pay the license cost, it seems fair that the license is being withdrawn. There have also been some rumors that suggest the frequency will be taken over by CG Telecom after the license is officially annulled. Here, we will discuss the license revoke process of Smart Telecom.

Smart Telecom License Revoke

Why?

Smart Telecom has a lot of amounts due to pay and this is not the first time it has delayed the regular payment to NTA. In 2076 Shrawan 13, Nepal Telecommunication Authority was all ready to revoke its license. However, it was canceled since Smart Telecom appealed to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT) which made them allow the network company pays the amount in five installments. But, Smart Telecom hasn’t paid a single amount which is not being acted against.

The company had till January 14 to pay Rs. 59.88 crores but hasn’t been active in doing so. In total, it will have to pay 1.25 billion to get its license renewed again. This is the reason why its license is being revoked by the NTA. The following table shows the total amount company owes NTA.

What does NTA have to say on this?

The chairman of NTA, Purushottam Khanal says that there will an opportunity for Smart Telecom to clear the issue before starting the cancellation process. However, the company should be able to do it very soon since the process is just about to begin this time.

What’s next?

After the license of Smart Telecom gets revoked, we have no idea what will be NTA’s further actions. However, there have been some rumors that suggest CG will take over to the 900MHz frequency in the 10MHz band and 1800MHz frequency in the 24MHz which is now under Smart Telecom. CG hasn’t been able to receive the license, yet which means this might be the chance for the company.
