Apple has introduced the new Mac Studio with M1 Max and M1 Ultra chips in Nepal. They launched the desktop alongside iPhone SE and Apple Air 5. Here, we will talk about the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the Apple Mac Studio in Nepal.

Apple Mac Studio Overview

Body

The new Apple Mac Studio is a cube-shaped desktop measuring 3.7-inches in height and 8-inches in the width on each side. You can say that this is the bigger version of the Mac Mini. It is available in a single-color option of Silver and the device is very compact that it fits into your workstations right away. It can even tuck in under a display.

M1 Chip

As mentioned earlier, Mac Studio ships with either M1 Max or M1 Ultra chip. The former boosts the performance level by 50% in comparison with a Mac Pro that has a 16-core Xeon processor. Even the graphics are nearly three times faster than the Mac Pro. Likewise, the latter is without a doubt the world’s most powerful chip found in a personal computer. The chip connects two M1 Max chips on a single die and performs as a single chip. It is also called the UltraFusion architecture. It also has 90% better CPU performance and 80% better graphics than the Mac Pro.

It has over 4,000 holes on the back accompanied by arranged airflow channels. This helps pass the air inside the internal components and cool off the silicone. The speed of the fan is very quiet even when there is some heavy workload.

Connectivity

The desktop comes with four Thunderbolt ports, two USB-A slots, an HDMI port, a 10GB Ethernet port, and a headphone jack. But the M1 Max version has two USB-C ports on the front and the M1 Ultra brings two Thunderbolt 4 connectors to the device. They also have an SD card slot for a similar situation.

Mac Studio supports up to four Pro Display XDRs with a 4K TV. For audio, there is a built-in speaker. Lastly, the connectivity options list out as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

Apple iPad Air 5 goes official with Center Stage Camera

Apple has finally launched the fifth generation of the Apple Air iPad in Nepal. It comes with Apple’s M1 chip and hence is the most powerful iPad Air till now. Here, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the Apple iPad Air 5 in Nepal.

Apple iPad Air 5 Overview

Display and Design

We can see the 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display in the iPad Air 5. It boasts 2360×1640-pixels resolutions alongside a Wide P3 color gamut. There is a True Tone display that has a fingerprint and scratch-resistant oleophobic coating. Further, the typical brightness measures 500nits, and the pixel density goes to 264. The display also supports a second-gen Apple pencil and Magic keyboard if you ever need to use any.

The iPad measures 6.1mm in thickness and weighs 461 grams for a Wi-Fi version and 462 for the 5G. The front is made up of glass while the back and frame are made of aluminum. The overall design is the same as its predecessor from the fourth generation. It is available in five color options – Space Gray, Starlight, Pink, Purple, and Blue.

M1 Chip

We had all the rumors of Apple Air 5 with an A15 Bionic chip but when it launched, it came with an M1 processor like in the iPad Pro. It is an octa-core chipset that shows better performance than the last year’s iPad Air by 60%. Previously, there was an A15 Bionic chip on the Apple iPad Air 4. Likewise, there is an 8-core graphics processor that gives 2x faster performance compared to other iPads to date.

As per memory, there is a unified RAM of 8GB that comes with either 64GB or 256GB internal storage. Over to the software front, the iPad boots on iOS 15.3.

Camera and Audio

Moving on, there is a 12MP lens on the rear panel with an f/1.8 aperture and 1.22-microns pixel capacity. It even supports the dual Pixel PDAF. It can record videos up to 4K resolution at 24/25/30/60 frames per second followed by 1080p at 25/30/60/120/240 frames per second alongside gyro-EIS.

Further, there is a 12MP front-facing ultrawide sensor with a 122-degree field of view and the support of the Centerstage feature. This is the upgrade to the 7MP snapper in the iPad Air 2020. To note, the center stage lens means it tracks you when you move around and keeps you in the frame. Moreover, the front camera can record up to 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.

For audio, there is a loudspeaker system with stereo speakers for crystal clear sound. It supports Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Atmos. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack for music.

Connectivity

As mentioned earlier, there are two configurations – 5G and Wi-Fi only. The former delivers peak speeds up to 3.5Gbps alongside Wi-Fi 6 which is fast forward. The USB Type-C interface has also increased speed around twice that last year’s iPad Air. The data transfer speeds here reach up to 10Gbps. In addition, there is Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS (A-GPS), and GLONASS for the 5G model only.

It also has a USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 for wired connectivity that also works for DisplayPort and magnetic connector.

Fueling the iPad is a 28.6Whr battery cell with a 20W charging adapter. Apple includes the compatible charger in the box as well. The battery gives you a total video playback time of 10 hours. Further, there is a Touch ID integrated into the power button for biometrics. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, compass, and barometer.

Redmi K50 Pro: The new Gaming Smartphone by Xiaomi

Xiaomi Redmi has now unveiled two new smartphones – K50 and K50 Pro in its gaming lineup. The phone has started sale in the Chinese market and we are still unclear if it will get inside the global market. However, there is no harm in discussing the estimated price of the Redmi K50 Pro in Nepal. Alongside the price, we will also talk about the specs, features, and availability of the model.

Redmi K50 Pro Overview

Display and Design

Let’s begin with the display size of the new Redmi K50 Pro which measures 6.67-inch with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. It is an OLED display with a 3200×1440-pixel resolution and 1200nits of peak brightness level. It supports HDR10+ content and has Dolby Vision followed by an 8-bit panel that comes with DCI-P3 coverage. Likewise, the screen gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Further, there is an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 119-degree field of view. Completing the setup is a 2MP camera for macro shots. They can record videos up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second followed by 1080p (@30/60/120fps) and 720p (@960fps) with gyro-EIS.

Moving on, there is a 20MP Sony IMX596 front-facing camera for selfies in the device. It is limited to shooting 1080p videos at 30/120 frames per second. Here, the back camera is accompanied by a Dual-LED dual-tone flash for better night shots.

For audio, there is a loudspeaker system with stereo speakers that tunes out 24-bit/192kHz audio. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.

Fueling the phone is a non-removable Li-Po 5,000mAh single battery cell with a 120W fast charging. It comes with Xiaomi’s own in-house Surge P1 chip and a compatible Power Delivery 3.0 charger. Xiaomi has officially launched its latest flagship smartphones in the Nepali market. It has started pre-order here in Nepal. However, we are still unclear if the vanilla Xiaomi 12 will ever launch here. Here, we will discuss the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the Xiaomi 12 Pro in Nepal.

Xiaomi 12 Pro Overview

Design and Display

The new Xiaomi 12 flaunts a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz of high refresh rate. It has curved sides on the screen which have 1500nits of peak brightness and 1000nits of HBM. The device also boasts HDR10+ contents with 12-bit color depth and Dolby Vision. Further, the display received DisplayMate’s A+ certification and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The phone weighs around 204/205 grams while embedding the dimension of 163.6×74.6×8.2mm. There are three color options in the device – Black, Blue, and Pink. You can also see a Special Edition phone that has Wild Green Leather.

Performance and Memory

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s flagship processor – Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It is a 4nm chipset that integrates an octa-core CPU with one Cortex-X2, three Cortex-A710, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at the speed of 3.00GHz, 2.50GHz, and 1.80GHz respectively. Likewise, the graphics depart is handled by Adreno 730.

Moreover, the rear camera module also holds a Dual-LED dual-tone flash for better night shots.

Moving on to audio, there are stereo speakers for the loudspeaker. But, it doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack for headphones. The speakers however are tuned by Harmon Kardon that sports 24-bit/192kHz audio.

Fueling the device is a medium 4,600mAh battery cell with 120W fast charging support. It also has 50W wireless charging capability alongside 10W reverse wireless charging. Further, it also has the Surge P1 chip unlike that of the Vanilla version. For biometrics, there is an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and a software-based face unlock system.

iQOO Z6 has finally made its way to the Indian market. It is the latest mid-range offering by iQOO which if we recall correctly, is the sub-brand by Vivo.
