Nokia C21 announced with little to no upgrade in the C20

Nokia has unveiled two new entry-level smartphones in the market. They succeeded last year’s Nokia C20 and Nokia C20 Plus and are named next in the lineup – Nokia C21 and Nokia C21 Plus respectively. The handsets come with the Go-Edition of Android 11 and Unisoc processors. In this post, we will talk about the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of the Nokia C21 in Nepal.

Design and Display

The Nokia C21 packs 169.9×77.9×8.8mm dimensions with 195g weight. The 6.52-inch IPS LCD panel boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 77.5%. Likewise, the 720×1600-pixel resolution gives the aspect ratio of 20:9 alongside 269 PPI density.

Unlike its predecessor Nokia C20, it retains a metal chassis and toughened glass on the front that protects the handset from scratches. There is a V-shaped selfie notch at the front with a LED flash as well. Apart from that, it has a circular camera setup with a speaker grille on the rear part. It comes in the color options of Dark Blue and Warm Gray.

Performance and Memory

The Nokia C21 runs along the Go-Edition of Android 11 based on a 28nm Unisoc SC9863A chipset. Since it’s a near-stock OS, it avoids unwanted ads and notifications on your smartphone. The company is even assuring two years of security updates. However, we are yet to know about any major OS updates.  The processor has an octa-core Cortex-A55 core clocked at a maximum speed of 1.6GHz. Likewise, the graphics depart is handled by the Power 8322 graphics processor.

Honor Magic 4 Pro announced on MWC 2022 event

Honor has introduced two new smartphones – Honor Magic 4 and Honor Magic 4 Pro via the MWC 2022 event. Since they are the flagship models, both feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processors. Here, we will dig further into the specs, features, availability, and expected price of the Honor Magic 4 Pro in Nepal.

Design and Display

The Honor Magic 4 Pro brings us a 6.81-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000nits peak brightness. It also boasts a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut with HDR 10+ contents and a 1920Hz PWM dimming feature. There are one billion colors on the screen alongside 1312×2848-pixels resolution and 460-pixel density.

Asus 8z launched in the Indian market

Asus has launched a new smartphone 8z on the Indian market. The phone was going on with the hashtag #BigOnPerformanceCompactInSize alongside some people in the campaign like Milind Soman and Joseph Radhik. In this post, we will talk about everything that we know about the device. We will also discuss the expected price of the Asus 8z in Nepal.

For those who are not a fan of big displays, you are on luck this time. Asus 8z flaunts a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. There is a peak brightness of 1100nits and HBM brightness of 700nits. There is a standard refresh rate of 120Hz and the phone supports HDR10+ contents as well. Above the screen, there lies a punch-hole cutout that holds the front-facing camera. The display here gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Performance and Memory

Though 8z still runs on Android 11, it is upgradable to Android 12. The user interface here is seen to be ZenUI. This system is powered up with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset that is based on a 5nm fabrication process. It comes with Adreno 660 graphics processor teamed up with an octa-core CPU with Kryo 680 cores clocked at the maximum speed of 2.84GHz.

There might four-five memory configurations on the device. We can have from 6 to 16GB RAM coupled with 128 to 256GB of internal storage of UFS 3.1. Unfortunately, you can not expand the latter because there is no slot for a microSD card.

Over to the optics, there is a dual-camera setup which is led by a 64MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, 0.8-microns pixel capacity, and OIS support. Oppo introduced a 240W charging tech: Is it real?

Oppo has announced a fast charging solution at MWC 2022 event. It has even shown a demo for the 240W SuperVOOC charge. With this announcement, Oppo has stood on top of the fast charging solutions. In this post, we will talk about everything we know till now about the Oppo 240W SuperVOOC charging.

Oppo 240W SuperVOOC Charging

As we know, Xiaomi has the fastest charging technology with its 200W charging solution that can charge a 4,000mAh battery in under 8 minutes. But now, Oppo has stood before all with its new 240W SuperVOOC charging solution. They posted a video on all its social media handles which are seen as very impressive and worth a look. You can charge a 4,500mAh battery from 0-50% in just three and a half minutes and to reach 100% from 0, it will take only nine minutes. This is a great breakthrough since it is not like anything ever seen before.

Safety Check

Oppo claims to have taken a holistic approach for the safety of the adapter, charging cable, and the handset with which they minimize potential safety hazards and risks, providing an efficient and secure charging solution. There are five safety protection measures in the system. They have even customized a control chip to govern voltage, current, and temperature. Further, there are 13 temperature sensors inside the test device that keeps the check for overheating and other abnormalities on the device.

150W SuperVOOC Charging

Oppo has also announced a 150W charging tech solution with Battery Health Engine (BHE). It powers up with Oppo’s own customized battery management chip. There are two key technologies – Smart Battery Health Algorithm and Battery Healing. They optimize the hardware and software of the device to improve battery health and safety. The 150W SuperVOOC charging maintains 80% battery life even after 1,600 charging cycles. To note, this is twice what Xiaomi claims for 11i Hypercharge.

Moving on, there is GaN (Gallium Nitride) to minimize the adapter size. We can notice the identical-sized chargers for 150W and 65W power in Oppo’s official blog.

Will it be commercial?

We have no idea if the 240W SuperVOOC charging will get commercial but the 150W is all set to enter the market with a OnePlus smartphone rumored to launch in the second quarter of 2022.

Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship installment as its notebook series. There are four laptops in the before mentioned flagship series among which two come with 360-degree hinges. There are two screen sizes you can choose from in Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro. The first one is a 13.3-inch display that has a comparatively more portable form factor than the other one with a 15.6-inch screen. However, both come with an AMOLED panel boasting a full HD resolution of 1920×1080-pixels.

All the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 models come with one Thunderbolt, two USB Type-C, one combined audio jack, and a microSD card slot. We all got to see the POCO M4 Pro 5G at the end of the year 2021. And now, POCO has introduced us to a 4G version of the phone – POCO M4 Pro 4G. To note, this is the first M-series phone to have an sAMOLED display. Here, we will dig into the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of POCO M4 Pro 4G in Nepal.

Design and Display

The POCO M4 Pro 4G brings a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It boasts a Full HD+ resolution alongside a peak brightness of 1000nits. The screen has full protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has also received SGS Seamless and Eye Care Certification. Above the screen, there is a punch-hole cutout holding the front-facing camera.
